Oh well.

I'll scribble on this thang when I have time. Not any time soon, by the looks of it.

Frantic Fiesta

WelcAM to the Flying FIEesta. HOlD ON to YOR SeFtY bARRR.

So. I disappeared off the face of this planet to visit our rest house last thursday through sunday for the family reunuion/ fiesta. I came to the realization that I'm growing old. And so are my cousins and well, relatives. Last time I checked, they were wee little things and all of a sudden they've sprouted like... daisies. It was chaotic- pig roasting on a spit, three barangays worth of families and raving drunk relatives. Not even the 'secluded' hammock corner was safe.

I'm just listing a 'few' things. It might not be of any interest to anyone else so there's no need to read everything or to read it all, for that matter. I'm just sticking it here so I don't forget. You know, in case I need proof that the madness really did happen.

1. Lazed around in the hammock.
2. Christened the new puppies 'Pancake' and... 'Pancake, too'. Fat puppehs. Cyootness. When you flip them on their backs, their tubby bellies look like pancakes. Brilliant logic, eh?
3. Puzzled over why the front of Kaori's ( my cousin pamangkin) hair is flattened on her forehead. I attempted to fix it. Several times. I accept defeat.
4. Visited cousins and their friends. (Actually, I'm not so sure if they're my cousins. I just know we're somehow related so I assume we're cousins)
5. Lazed around.
The next day...
6. Lazed around in the hammock.
7. Saw the pig on a spit. Then I patted it on the head for its troubles.
8. Noon: Feasted on aforementioned pig.
9. Kuya Jojo is all boozed up. Terrorized the ickle children.
10. I *gasp* joined a religious procession. We walked all over the whole bloody village. To be honest, me and my cousins were more preoccupied with keeping the candles lit. Extremely difficult as the wind just wouldn't stop.
11. More children arrived in the night. Jerome, my deranged little squishee, found me and refused to let me stray away from him for more than seconds. At some point I even deigned to give him a piggy back ride. He's just lucky that he's so cute, dammit
12. We went to the 'Perya,' the kind with them rickety-ass rides. I actually thought the ferris wheel was creepy, not because it was spinning really fast, I was afraid it would, uh, break, right in the middle.
13. Played toss yir coin, win a lame prize. I won one glass. Ain't I cool? I didn't see any freak shows or fortune-telling places. Lot's of bingo and stalls selling cheap and occasionally nifty things, though.
14. 1:00 am - Threw a (totally justifiable) major hissy fit. I'll explain some other time. It just makes my blood boil.

Now for my - things I found out about that disturbed me list:
1. Somebody still has a
2. Kaori has a crush on a first degree cousin ----> Eeeewww. Sick. Wrong. WRONG.
3. Kaori found out that somebody else has a . What makes this wrong is we're also . Doh.

I'll stop now. x_X

Calm before the storm

I was wrong. The relatively short period of my supposed spare time is but a dream. So I had a bit of a rest, a good thing - but it's all in vain because I mistook it for a happy bout of freedom. I managed to forget that hell's about to break loose. It's not so much the work load, actually. There's a bit of that and then there's the business of my aunt and uncle falling from the sky. The first of a series of visits. It'll be raining buckets of relatives from here on out.

Must brace mesself.

What is this strangeness?

Is there something I'm missing here? Because for the first time in weeks, I'm actually enjoying this strange phenomena of free time in abundance. It's insane. All I did today was bum around the house. I'd forgotten what that was like. It feels really good. Wheeee.

((You. I kinda feel sorry for you, I just can't help it. It's pathetic when you think about it. I've noticed that you're too oversensitive to everything. You had better chill lest you end up hurting your little head. And quite frankly, the recurring modes of you wallowing in a wretched pool of your own misery is in really bad taste - especially when you do it in public. I'd cut that out if I were you. Cheers.))

Anywaaaay, I'mma bum around some more, good people. Lally lally.

In Which Homage is Paid

Rome. Good old Rome.
It's almost been 24 hours since I saw the season finale and may I just say that I have to talk to somebody about it because I'm positively going to burst into a hundred million pieces. Apart from the 2/3 of the Triumvirate, I don't know anyone else who watches it. Ridiculous, I should think. But probably all for the better.

Victoria already has a nice little posty post about it in her blog so I needn't go into detail about it.

And now, we pay tribute

Gaius Octavian. Rarrrr.

Atia of the Julii.

Lucius Vorenus. Rarrr still.

Titus Pullo. Sweetness.

And of course, we musn't forget

Long live.
